The machine functions with multi-stage cleaning through hot water, detergent, solvent, or sanitizing solutions for effective cleaning.

General Drum Washing Process:

The feature of a high-speed self-rotating nozzle ensures 100% cleaning and disinfecting the interior walls of the product. The construction of the machine makes the washing process more efficient and suitable for all types of solutions, it has inbuilt recirculation tanks to handle the washing media through the return pump lines.     

The wash stations control box contains programmed logic starts, stops, and operates the machine automatically to the set parameters. 

The drum washer carries the drums along a conveyor. Once the machine starts, the operator needs to feed the drums manually on the loading conveyor.  The drums travel through multiple cleaning stages, holding at every single station programmed to clean with wash liquids (pH controllers, dosing tank system) with the set temperatures or parameters. 

It holds the drums to the required cycle time in each wash zone to achieve the optimum cleaning quality.

The drums pass through the entire conditioning process automatically with minimal supervision. The combination of hot water, and its high water pressure, cleaning solution, and rotating motion effectively cleans and sanitizes even the dirtiest industrial drums.

After cleaning, they are used multiple times within the facility. When a drum is old enough and no longer useful, it is crushed down to get recycled into another metal or plastic product.

The spray nozzles are powered by corrosion-resistant, high-pressure pumps made of stainless steel and are angled at the drum's interior to ensure it is adequately cleaned.

All drum washers have wash-rinse or wash-rinse-dry cycles that dry the containers via a heating system or air guns. The water and cleaning solution, which is either a solvent or detergent, is heated by electricity or gas to about 120ยบ F.

Uses of Drum Washer:

drum washer is used to wash the interior and exterior of their open-top 5 gallon and 200-liter drums contaminated with printer inks. They can wash about 25 drums every 8 hours a day using a solvent blend of alcohol, ester, and hydrocarbon.

SS Engineers designed a washer to eliminate the manual washing of printing inks.  This stainless steel constructed unit was electric rated Zone 0 (Explosion Proof). 

The washer was designed and manufactured with a 5 gallon pail adapter and was able to wash and rinse utilizing customer supplied 200-liter drums.  This washer allows the organization to work more efficiently and was fully capable of handling any anticipated growth.

Drum Washers to use, set up menu that provides the operator with the ability to program a wash and rinse cycle into the PLC microprocessor logic controller systems to enable and operate automatically.

The controller monitors the parameters and series of relays and contacts to verify proper liquid levels flow, pressures, container security, and proper grounding, before starting the cycle.

The cleaning liquid agents used in the primary wash cycle can also be recirculated to an external containment reservoir, tank, or built-in sump tank to minimize the volume required.
